Hello! I am Chris a new member from a Lafayette, Indiana. I live in a college town with a lot of opportunity. I am looking to break into real estate investing. I have wanted to get started for years however have just sat on the sidelines. I am ready to finally get in the game. My goal is to earn passive income on the side while working my day job.

Welcome Chris! college towns do offer a lot of opportunity (I am also investing in real estate in a college town), but they also have a lot of competition.

I was able to find an agent in the area who was very helpful. They gave me a lot of good information, such as who the major players are in the area, what a 2,3 and 4 bedroom SFH would typically rent to students for per month and also how much the student population is projected to grow over the next 5-10 years. It is worth the cost of taking them out to lunch to get the lowdown! Good luck!
