Hey all,

I found BiggerPockets about 4 days ago while surfing the net. Really glad to be here. I used to be in real estate investing years ago. I specialized in SFH, Lease Options primarily. Although I did also do a lot of Wholesaling and Subject to deals as well. And the occasional bird-dogging. I had around 116 homes and was unfortunately to dumb to hire a management company and was doing it all myself. Which landed me in the hospital after having an anxiety attack (I thought I had a heart attack) from all the stress. After that I took a months vacation in England and when I came back I got rid of all my houses and swore I would never do it again.

Well now I am wanting to get back into REI. BUT I want to mainly stick with doing apartments and commercial real estate investing. And this time I will hire property managers to manage all my locations.

I am also looking for a good apartment/commercial mentor as well. So if anyone knows of anyone good, please don't be shy and let me know.

Welcome to BiggerPockets Karma! You might want to check into CFRI (Central Florida Realty Investors). The general meeting is coming up in a couple of weeks, plus they have a focus group that specializes in commercial.

Additionally, try researching Chris McClatchey, along with Jonathan Rivera. Jonathan also lives in Sanford and just interviewed @Joshua Dorkin for his podcast "Making Agents Rich."
