New Member in Chicago NW Suburbs

Hey everybody!

My name is Scott and I'm a BP newbie in Chicago - NW Suburbs. I have some experience in RE through 1 flip and 1 rental. That was a while ago and I'm very excited to finally be returning to REI. Also, I just got my real estate license here in Illinois to assist me with my goals.

My long term goal is to have enough passive income through rental properties to allow my family and I to cruise the Bahamas and Caribbean on our sailboat as much as possible. I say this because I think what you will DO with the money is the biggest motivator. The short term goal is to flip properties to build up capital to buy rentals. I plan to use my license to sell real estate for/to others as well. I'm also curious about wholesaling.

Oh, and I'm hooked on HGTV... love "Flip or Flop" and I would love to run my business like the "Property Brothers" - if only I could recruit Jonathon Scott.

From the little bit I've seen, I'm very impressed with this site and all of you. I'm really excited to connect with you, learn from you, and eventually be able to share my knowledge in return as well!
