Excited Rookies from Seacoast NH Ready to Dive In!

Posted

Hi BiggerPockets Community! 👋

My name is Cecily Lachapelle, and I’m thrilled to introduce my husband, John, and myself to this incredible group. We are real estate rookies based in the beautiful Seacoast area of New Hampshire. Though we haven’t closed our first deal yet, we’re ready to jump and pull the rip cord as soon as our coach gives the green light! ✈️

We’re currently focused on creating our buy box in the towns of Rochester, Dover, Farmington, and Milton, NH. Our goal for the year is to flip 5 houses AND buy & hold 5 multifamily properties. Ambitious? Maybe! But we are ready to put in the work and soak up as much knowledge as we can.

We’re here to build connections with private and hard money lenders familiar with our region, find investor-friendly agents, and network with contractors who value integrity and excellence in their work. We’re also diving into the wealth of knowledge BiggerPockets offers through podcasts and these amazing forums.

We’re so glad to have found this community and are excited to learn, grow, and connect with fellow investors! Looking forward to meeting many of you and sharing our journey!

Hi John and Cecily,

I invest and live in Dover as well as being a licensed Realtor in New Hampshire. I know a couple local hard/private money lenders I can connect you with, one of them is a sponsor at the Dover real estate investor meetup that takes place the 2nd Monday of each month at Chapel and Main Brewery. I can share more details about the meetup with you if interested.

Hey Cecily! welcome to the group! Your excitement is amazing, and it’s great to see how ambitious you and John are with your goals. Focusing on both flips and buy-and-hold multifamily properties in NH sounds like a solid strategy and great market to do so in. Best of luck with your first deal—this community is a great place to build connections with lenders, agents, and contractors. :)

Hi River! I have saved your contact info. We would love to connect! You will probably hear from my husband, John as he's taking the lead in speaking with lenders. I'm taking the lead in marketing to find deals. If you have any bandwidth to discuss that aspect with me, I would love to pick your brain about you source deals and what is working for you in this current market. Feel free to text me: (321) 300-4062. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday! It's a beauty!

    Hi Cecily and John!

Welcome to the exciting journey of real estate investing in the Seacoast and surrounding areas! I'm also in the Seacoast region (NH and ME) and own some rental property nearby, so I know these markets well. The towns you're targeting—Rochester, Dover, Farmington, and Milton—offer great potential, especially for flipping and buy-and-hold multifamily investments. Rochester and Dover are seeing steady appreciation and rental demand thanks to ongoing development and proximity to Portsmouth - hard to find great deals here. Milton and Farmington can be excellent choices, too, often with more budget-friendly options and the chance to add value in less saturated areas, might have better cash flow luck here.

For lenders and agents, I'd recommend networking with those who have experience specifically in the NH Seacoast markets since these towns can vary in terms of tenant demographics and rental demands. Happy to share more insights, and I'd love to connect if you’re looking for local contacts or want to brainstorm strategies.
