I'm an Aussie who will be moving to West Lafayette, IN to start a research position at Purdue University in August 2014.

As I'm hoping to buy my first home there (and hopefully some investment property later down the track), I've joined this great site to learn as much as I can.

Welcome back to BP!  I'm glad you and your wife have decided to stick around for a while longer.

I am a fellow Aussie living in Shelby Co, Indiana. I've been here 9yrs now.  Winters aside, I have settled in really well and I'm enjoying the Hoosier life.  

I am in the process of buying my first rental in Indianapolis and plan on buying many many more!    

Anyway, I just wanted to say G'day and if you are ever in the neighborhood and feel like some Aussie talk let me know!
