I'm a maintenance electrician at thermofisher scientific in franklin, ma

My goals are long stretches as of now, they are to obtain 5 multi family rental properties in the next 5 years and eventually be able to leave my day job and own an electrical contracting company.

This is a great place to learn and meet people. Read all the articles, listen to the podcasts and be active in these forums and you will get a great education in real estate pretty easy!

We have a lot of MA people on here so get to know a lot of them.

Also get out to some of the local REI educational and networking events to meet more investors in your area. In your area the best one to check out is the Black Diamond meeting that meets in Worcester. Since you are interested in renting out mulitfamilies check out some of the landlord specific groups. There is the Northern Worcester County Land Lord Association that meets in Fitchburg and I believe there is at least one other group in the area for that.

Once you get out to some of these consider coming out closer to Boston and there are a lot of other ones near there as well as north and south of it.
