Hello, my name is Dan Stahl and I currently live in Columbus, Ohio although I've lived in Cleveland, Ohio for most of my life. I'm 24 years old and have a full-time job in engineering. I talk to my bosses whenever I get a chance about investing in real estate, as they are investors themselves (and started the company I work at).

I'm just browsing and trying to learn right now, but I would like to get into real estate investing as soon as I feel comfortable.

Right now the only debt I have is student loan debt at just below $30,000. I'm making minimum payments on that, and saving everything I can. No car payment and I rent an apartment outside of the main city in Dublin, Ohio. I have a roommate which I split all bills with.

I like to think I'm pretty hands-on and a fixer-upper sounds fun to me. I've watched a lot of HGTV/Holmes shows and that kind of stuff really interests me.

My initial thoughts, though, are buying a couple apartments and living in one and renting one out. Apartments are springing up everywhere around here, and there appears to be no shortage of tenants, and a lot of growth surrounding Columbus. I just don't know where to start and don't know much about loans (other than student loans).

-Dan
