Hello from Southeastern NH
After my significant other bought his first investment property, I got interested in the concept and found BP. Since then I've read articles, listened to podcasts, read the Beginner’s Guide, etc. – basically immersing myself to gain knowledge. I’m in the financial services industry and want to diversify my assets and have passive income so I can replace my current income and 'retire'. My goals: 1) learn as much as I can – especially around property analysis; 2) do a 5-year plan for buy & hold investing to replace the income in my FT job; 3) buy my first rental property (2-, 3- or 4- unit) by the end of the 2014. Glad to be here and I look forward learning and getting to know folks.

Thanks All—I appreciate the welcome and encouragement. Thanks for the tip on the NH REIA @. Chelmsford isn’t far. I’ll check it out along with the Manchester NH one that @ mentioned. One thing I’ve been pondering is whether it makes more sense to focus on MA were the property taxes are lower or NH where there is no income tax. I realize that depends on the financials of each particular property—another area I’m focused on getting my arms around. I’m in retirement plan services @. My background is in communications and marketing.
