In the north Dallas area looking to learn as much as I can. Way too expensive here and not ready to pull the trigger on first property yet. Curious if anyone in this area is having success with any deals? And if so, how in the world hah

    Daniel,

I've been investing in the North Texas area since 2017.  Studied it for way too long, finally decided to get in the game with our first flip in DeSoto. My strategy evolved to buy and hold, with an occasional flip.  I'm based near Denton, my "footprint" extends down to Ennis, over to Bowie, and all the way over to Paris.  I sold my Denton County properties as the costs (primarily property taxes) were getting excessive.  We have around 40 doors, with the acquisitions the last few years focused on multi-family.  My strategy this year is to simplify my world, and sell off all my single-family rentals, and one duplex.

More than happy to connect with you and provide any insights I have.

    Regards,

    Al
