The Accidental Landlord

Joining Bigger Pockets to learn more about investing in rental properties was suggested to me by my local RPOA. Getting my first rental property was an accident. I was the buyer’s agent for a veteran and his wife. They found the house they wanted to buy but their financing was not working out. Long story short: I bought the house. We agreed that they would rent until they had enough for a good down payment. Then we wrote a new agreement for them as a land contract to buy the house.  It worked out well and started my journey into rental properties and being a landlord. Before that I had bought houses, improved them and then sold them. Now I buy and hold/rent. I am here to learn more and do more.
