Moving to Tampa to Start my Rental Property Business

Hello BiggerPockets colleagues!

My name is Preston K. Parsard, from Arlington, VA, and I'm a new investor who purchased a couple of new construction townhomes last year in August 2023. I'm excited to share that I just received my closing dates for both properties. One will be my primary residence since I'm moving to Tampa in April 2024 after my apartment lease expires, and the other will be my first investment property. I'm just starting this journey and am both nervous and excited. I'm nervous because I've never had a business before and I still have a full-time job as a cloud solutions architect, which I'm really passionate about - so hopefully it won't be my golden handcuffs that may prevent me to thrive as an investor and I'm excited because of all the benefits and freedoms being a business owner offers, one of which is to connect and collaborate with forums like this and people like all of you, where I can both learn from and hopefully share later as I develop more experience. :-)
