Howdy BP Nation,

My name is Robert Musallam, I'm 28 years old and ready to get serious about investing in real estate. For the past two years, I've been a landlord of a "duplex-like" unit, where I converted a detached garage into a one bedroom unit and have been renting out the main 2BR unit for most of my mortgage.

Additionally, I'm in the process of obtaining my real estate license. I hope to be licensed within the next month. That's part of why I decided to join BP as opposed to being a lurker. The other part is I'm here to learn, take action, succeed/fail, report back, take constructive criticism and reciprocate in any way I can. My last job was as a program manager for the San Francisco Housing Authority, so I'll try to inject myself into any Section 8 related questions you may have.

I've read every (fre)e-book/guide BP has to offer and will be jumping into the paid ones shortly. I'm also catching up on all the podcasts, which have been a great resource.

Outside of real estate, I've been playing (ice/roller) hockey for 25 years. I enjoy crossfit and pretty much anything to do with sports. I also love traveling.

With all that said, a big thank you to the community. I've learned so much from you already and I'm extremely grateful for the great open and honest dialogue on the forums. I look forward to learning from you/with you in the future.

Best,

Robert Musallam
