Newbie from Fort Worth Texas
Hello,
My name is Gene from Fort Worth, Texas. I retired from the Navy in 2010 and have been working as a contractor since then. I was born and raised in (Bay Area) California and currently reside in our SFH in Fort Worth Texas since 2007.
I have always wanted to invest in Single/multi-family properties. My father has had several properties and it has served him very well, he really enjoyed investing. I want to start my real-estate investing journey locally and learn from all of you.

Welcome to Bigger pockets Gene!
There's an active group of investors in the general DFW area. There have been some recent meet ups if you search the forums, the last one being in Dallas.
I've personally enjoyed the podcast as well as the blogs on the site. There's lots of good info and people here. Best of luck!
