New Investor Looking for First Small Multi-family Property (Houston, TX)

Hi, I'm Drew! Pilot, Software Engineer, and Entrepreneur in the Greater Houston Area. I love flying, programming, and a great adventure. Oh, and Slasher movies, can't forget Slasher movies!

I am starting my real estate investment journey and am looking to purchase my first small multi-family property (duplex, triplex, fourplex).

I initially got introduced to the world of real estate investing through reading books like Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and later on watching videos by Grant Cardone. I've spent thousands of dollars on courses and haven't really taken any action because the material was either too advanced or I just lacked confidence in executing.

I'm hoping to one day hit my life goal of owning a hotel/resort in my home island of St. Croix, U.S.V.I. But today, we start small!

I'm open to any of your suggestions and tips! I'm happy to now be a part of the community and look forward to meeting you all!
