A little green from Chattanooga, TN

Hello bigger pockets! This is such a great sight, learned so much already!

I'm Faith Chesney and I'm currently a full-time mom and looking for a part-time job in real estate (: My Husband is a physical therapist and we both have been interested in real estate and getting more into the field. My husband bought a house before we were married while he was in PT school and had 2 roommates that paid for his mortgage and allowed him to live rent free. He actually bought the house without a job with his father co-signing with him. And also was able to put 0% down (80% mortgage with a 20% HELOC). Doubt we could do that these days! We sold the house so that we could fix-up our current house. Now we are looking to get back into real estate in the Chattanooga area.

We want to get into Buy and Hold real estate to maximize cash-flow and to start to develop a rental portfolio. Maybe add one house a year or more if we are successful. We hope to supplement my husbands income so that we can have more options for our family. Our desire is not to “get rich,” but to enable him to work less sooner so we can live a more “simple life.” We are really looking forward to networking with others and developing some connections in the Chattanooga area as we are still rather green as it comes to real estate investing. Thanks!
