Hi all. Greg here from the Fresno/Clovis area of Central California. I have actually been a member (lurking) for over a year but am now ready to jump into REI. I have a full time job so I am only going into this part time for now.

I have been reading J. Scott's book on flipping houses for the last week. I have no 'real' experience in real estate other than the home we own now and the our first home the we sold in 2004. I did sell my first home myself but the market was so hot then I couldn't help but get a great deal.

We are also co-owners of another home with my son and his family that we purchased in 2012. That house has given us an opportunity to get some rehab experience and we have started building relationships with a really good electrician and a couple of other handyman types.

From what I have seen on BP I should be looking to get involved with a local REI club to start building relationships but I have not been able to find anything around here.

Hoping someone with local knowledge on BP can steer me in the right direction for attending some central california meet ups.

My goal to build a stable quality REI business over the next few years and eventually transition into this full time.

Glad to 'meet' everyone and I promise to stop lurking and get more involved on the BP site.

-Greg
