New guy from the Quad cities Area IA/IL

I am a new guy just looking to become financially independent and thinking that real estate investing will get me the best return. I currently work in the tech field and have finally came to a point in my life where I am Fiscally ready to start investing in my families future. I am really looking to buy and hold for the most part. Hoping to cash flow a enough to put right back into other properties. I am not looking to get rich quick just build enough for early "retirement". My wife is the E-marketing project manager for a Fortune 750 company, so I hope to use her skills to the fullest to help get our business off the ground. I live on the Border of Iowa and Illinois in the Quad Cities area. I am always looking to meet new people and would love to get in touch with some other investors in the area.
