Just Looking to Learn

Hello, folks. I am a homeowner who purchased my first home two years ago trusting a real estate agent (assigned by the mortgage company) who did not seem to have my family's best interest in mind. I made mistakes that I am learning from.

I know very little about real estate investment, but I am looking to learn as much as I can. The goal is to purchase a second home in about a year from now and to use one as a rental property. From there I want to grow into having a portfolio that could change the general trajectory of my family's financial wellbeing. I look forward to learning from all of you.

Congratulations on your first post and for taking the initiative to learn more about real estate investment! It's always great to see people taking control of their financial future and working towards their goals.

I understand how frustrating it can be to work with an agent who does not have your best interest in mind. It takes a lot of courage to admit mistakes and learn from them, and I admire your attitude towards self-improvement.

Real estate investment can be a daunting task, especially if you are new to the field. However, seeking knowledge from experts in the field can assist you in building a successful portfolio. Your goal of purchasing a second home for rental purposes is a great way to start building a stream of passive income that can ultimately change the general trajectory of your financial wellbeing.

I commend you on your dedication and eagerness to learn more, and I'm confident that with the right mindset and approach, you'll achieve the success you're aiming for. Remember that the real estate community is here to support you every step of the way. Don't hesitate to ask any questions or share any updates - we're all in this together! Best of luck on your journey towards growing your portfolio and achieving your financial goals.
