New investor starting soon and lots to learn

Hi everyone! I just joined BP and have been reading up the past couple of days. I’m based in Austin and currently in the process of selling our property in Europe which should give us anywhere between 400k to 500k to invest. I’m trying to figure out how I can invest this. I know someone who has been very successful in syndication investment which seems interesting. It seems that there are quite a few folks on BP that are active in this field too, I presume contacting them would be a good way to get going? I’ve also been looking ad quadplexes in San Antonio which probably we could buy 2 off right of the bat.

Any suggestions would be appreciated 😀

Buying 4plex and syndication are quite different. 4plex you are 100% owner. You make all the decisions, you are the only boss.

Syndication you are like a stockholder in Chase. You dont have much say in the direction of the company or investment. You have to trust that the CEO or sponsor is doing their best for the company or investment.

There are plenty of benefits to both situations. You would have to see how the benefits work best for your unique situation.
