Hello Everyone,

First day on bigger pockets. I have been listening and learning with the podcasts, supplementing with books and blogs. Excited to start using the knowledge.

Working with a buddy and hoping to make our first deal in the near future. Any recommendations on literature, media, and or people that could help? All information for a successful first deal is welcomed and appreciated.

Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous 2014!

Hi John,

I found my first deal in PA at HUD website http://www.hudhomestore.com/Home/Index.aspx

Also, I always check http://www.homepath.com/

Most of the properties on those websites requires renovation. However, you can get a good deal. I bought 40k property for 20k from HUD.
