New to BiggerPockets - Looking to connect with investors seeking hard money loans

Drew Griffin
Posted

Hi everyone - my name is Drew Griffin, and I recently exited a small business venture and looking to engage motivated investors who are seeking a hard money loan for their qualified deals. I'd be looking to lend in the 50-100K range depending on the deal structure (e.g., preferred rate of return, split, fees). Looking forward to the conversations.

Drew

I've given a few private loans myself, and I met each of the borrowers at local meetups. Many people post them on the events tab - https://www.biggerpockets.com/...

Have you ever loaned money before?

Hi @Dawn Brenengen - I appreciate your message. I have not before but looking to do so.

Lenders usually specialize initially until the get their feet wet. Sometimes they are the capital investor on a joint venture, sometimes they provide gap funding, sometimes they provide fix & flip funds. If they want long tern steady income they do provate lending.

Normally they have to build a track record in order to attract borrowers, which also gives them time to learn the ins and outs of lending.

Which are you trying to accomplish?

 Thanks, Mike! Very helpful insight.
