Hello BP Community,

I have made my way back to the proverbial start of my real estate journey. I learned a lot about real estate from the BP community and put some of that into action. I have been very busy as the last time I checked in here 3 years ago I was building homes and starting a new career inspections! The long short is Covid put a damper on some of my educational goals and I adjusted some and am very grateful and humble to announce I am a newly licensed home inspector a new business owner and just received my Inspector Building Level 1 certificate. I'm still doing construction projects I promised for a few customers this year as I continue the last few courses I need for home inspections (radon testing, thermal imaging, drone license) to be competitive in this market.

My career goals shifted from a municipal inspector to a home inspector/ entrepreneur but that's okay! It just proves that we have to adapt and put one foot in front of the other sometimes and plan as we move. I spent many weeks and months trying to realign my goals and aspirations after Covid left me largely unemployed into back working for myself. My combat related PTSD made these decisions almost painfully complicated at times as I tend to try and evaluate all possible scenarios. As I build my inspection business I will continue to do home flips, remodeling and small construction projects in conjunction with. I'm also still seriously considering getting my GC license in 2025 so that I start building rentals / affordable housing outside of Wake County but still in Central NC.

Sorry for the long winded post but I just wanted to say if you're in the Triangle or central North Carolina lets connect! I enjoy talking about real estate, home remodeling, inspections and I'm also big into fitness. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

Hi Kory, would love to connect!

I have used Easy Street for many rehabs and recommend them most highly!
