I am a fairly new investor in Santa Barbara, CA. I graduated from UCSB in Physics and now work in an Engineering job in Santa Barbara. I bought a house in Florida with positive cash flow, and then I bought a house in Santa Ynez Valley where I live with my wife. We have two rental units on our property. This means that I am a landlord for three units total. My goals are to own more buy and hold properties and make a career from REI. I read some newbie posts from local Santa Barbara members, and one mentioned a local REIA group. It sounded familiar, and I looked in my wallet and found a business card from the group leader buried amongst all my other business cards. I can't believe I've been carrying around the REIA group's card all this time, and I haven't gone to one of their meetings yet. I'm definitely going to the next meeting, and now I have a story to help me break the ice. I'm glad that Biggerpockets has helped me bring this all together, and I hope to learn a lot from this community!
