@Darrien Linton - I'd first recommend you start by reading some multifamily books such as the Multifamily Millionaire Volume 1 by Brandon Turner. Or The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down: Creative Strategies for Investing in Real Estate Using Other People's Money. Both are great books on how to invest in multifamily and strategies on acquiring them.
In addition, I'd highly recommend you start off with a house hack of a 3-4 family. That is a nice introductory lesson on multifamily investing with very little upfront risk, e.g. if you go FHA, 3.5% of the purchase price of the property. That is how I got started. Good luck on your journey and welcome to BP!
