    Oh man, @Beth Blankenbicker, we need nurses! Thanks for making your first post on BP! Since this is a real estate site and not a healthcare site, I'll refrain from arguing for you to be a traveling nurse with real estate on the side.

    I recommend you take time right now to put away 10% of your earnings into an investment account separate from your typical bank account. This will be your real estate fund. Start by reading. This website is a great place for book recommendations. The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller is my #1 recommendation. Find meet-up events in your area and network. Determine what niche you will be in - fix/flip, long term hold, short term rentals, wholesaling, multifamily, and many more. Try to find one that interests you and stick to it. Begin evaluating deals even if you don't intend to buy right now. Make your first purchase. Repeat. Good luck to you!
