Thankful for this wealth of knowledge

Hello,

My name is Luke and I just stumbled upon Bigger Pockets in the past week. I have already learned so much from this community just from reading your posts, and thought I would introduce myself and just say thank you to everyone.

I have saved a ton and am ready to purchase my first short term rental, most likely out of town. After much deliberation I think this will be the best option for myself and my family. At first I had the thought of buying a multifamily property here locally but I am in South Florida and these prices make it seem like it would be hard to generate the cash flow.

Definitely open to any advice anyone has on short term rentals, I started reading the book by @Avery Carl and love it and have reached out to her in hopes I can get some help from her team finding the right property. Have also fumbled around on AirDNA and love how easy they make it to figure out the cap rate on properties.

Thank you in advance for any and all advice!

-Luke
