Newbie Investor looking to Connect!
Hey BP Folks!
I'm Stephanie, new to the world of real estate investing. I've been a fan of the BP podcasts and books for quite some time but have more recently decided to join the BP community.
As the story goes, I'm working in the corporate world but looking to break into house flipping/hacking (financial freedom?!). While I've busted my hump to grow my career, I'm looking for something a bit more fulfilling. I'm in my early 30's, no kids (yet) and currently renting. My thoughts are "if not now, when?" My fiance and I are both in the same boat and ready to dive in. We're constantly reading/listening and learning all we can to be prepared for our first purchase. There is a ton to learn, but so far the BP forums and tools have been amazing.
We're located in Philadelphia and looking to purchase in the city/suburbs and will most likely look to jump over to the NJ area as well. I would love to start networking and connecting. Please feel free to reach out and say hello!

Welcome! Exciting venture you are setting out on. Keep in mind that in your region there is an incredibly wide variety of micromarkets. Ive been investing in Philadelphia, the burbs and Lehigh Valley for 6 yrs and there are neighborhoods and towns I still dont know much about. For more granular market info FB can be useful. I started a Philly landlord group to navigate the web of city ordinances, share vendor info, and even advocate a bit for example. Just dont get too stuck in the learning stage. The market is not waiting for you :-)
