Denver neighborhoods and architecture

In all fairness this is not a strictly real estate investment related post, but, here goes:

I'll be visiting Denver for a weekend (planning to rent a car), and I love all things real estate and architecture.  Any suggestions on neighborhoods or buildings not to miss?  Any ideas from locals?

Where are the up and coming areas, high end neighborhoods, best investment opportunities, modern residential neighborhiids?

Thanks!

I'll take a stab at this:

Interesting architecture:
DIA
Union Station
Denver Art Museum
Museum of Modern Art
IM Pei Building (cash register building)
Brown Palace Hotel
Red Rocks Amphitheater

Neighborhoods that are interesting:

Wash Park - full of 'Denver Square' older houses, and plenty of infill development
Observatory Park/DU area
6th/7th Hilltop and Montclair
Cory-Merrill
Highlands/Sunnyside/Sloans Lake - Lots of older houses w/ infill development

Ritzy/High End:

Cherry Creek North
Cherry Hills
Castle Pines

Up and Coming:

Riverfront North (RiNo)
Cole
Park Hill

Modern residential neighborhoods: (like... new builds?)

East Aurora, Castle Rock, Parker

Best investment opportunities:

See "up and coming" above.  Pretty much anywhere you can find a deal is a good investment opportunity.

Anschutz Campus/VA Hospital/ Aurora North (colfax and I-225) is a HUGE turn around for that area

Hope that helps!
