Recommendation for ADU consultant in the Bay Area?

David Lam
Posted

Hello, does anyone have any recommendation for an ADU consultant in the Bay Area on how to bring an unpermitted unit up to code in the East Bay, specifically Oakland? Unfortunately, the property in question also have knob tube and wiring throughout. Would like any recommendations, resources, or suggestions.

Any licensed general contractor would be able to help you, and they would have the span of knowledge you need. They don't have to be ADU specialists. Mainly don't hire someone who's never been licensed. I'd search the usual places for someone and get a set quote for their consulting (unless you're really planning to hire them in which case I'm sure they'd be happy to bid).
