City of Los Angeles Density Bonus Application
City of Los Angeles allows for new construction multi-units to apply for a ‘density bonus’ which allows one to develop 35% more units than allowed by zoning in return of providing 25% of the units to low income housing.
I’m familiar with the application, but I’m curious how lengthy the process is, what kind of hurdles does one usually face and what is the likelihood that the city will allow the maximum capacity under the density bonus application?
If anyone has any experience with this process please share your knowledge.
