Hello BP! Im new to both REI and BP. I'm 19 and looking to get into REI through wholesaling build my way up and learn the business at the same time that was my plan. Looking through the forums though i'm confused if wholesaling is legal in California? Been seeing a lot that it is not anymore? Would love to get anyone and everyone's opinion. Would especially love to hear feedback from active wholesalers in California!

@Fabian Esqueda

The actions you describe may be violations of:

California Business & Professions Code 10130 (acts requiring a real estate license);

California Business & Professions Code Section 10131 (what is a real estate broker);

California Business & Professions Code 10139 (false impersonation)

I suggest that you read up on what you are allowed and not allowed to do. Certain actions are crimes punishable by imprisonment and fines between $20,000-$60,000.

And, if youre not sure, it's not a good idea to post your actions online. People, such as real estate brokers, who lose business because of others who are not following the law are on this website.
