Passing on cost of serving notices to the tenant

I have historically served 3-day notices myself.  But as I attempt to systemize, I plan on hiring this out going forward.  If I have to pay a process server $35 to serve a three-day notice, can I add this fee to the tenant's payables?  I assume I can but when searching I have not found specific guidance either way.

I am in Kern County, California.
