Getting courthouse probate leads has gotten complicated now.

I finally went to the courthouse for the very first time to get probate leads. It was awkward and not as easy as most people say it is. My county courthouse no longer allow people to just come in and search probate records on their own anymore. That caught me off guard because I was expecting to look up probate cases on my own but the lady at the courthouse said they do not do that anymore like they used to which was unexpected. I thought I was going to go in there to get what I need and go. Instead, I was asked questions about why I want to look up the probate case and asked if I was related to the person in that probate case. They have to look up the cases for me, and I had a whole list of probate cases I wanted to look up on my own. At least now I know firsthand how their process works when it comes to looking at probate cases. Maybe I should go back to buying probate leads.
