First guest and power outage

We had our first guest this weekend and were hit by a snowstorm on the Washington coast. Powers been out for 12 hrs with crews still working on it with no ETA. Luckily there is a gas fireplace and gas stove.

I have been communicating with the guest, I’m too far to drive and roads are impassable but is there anything else I should do in terms of the owner? I’m not looking forward to a bad first review.

People understand when things are out of your control. Just do your best to take care of problems. Check in with them and they will appreciate your sincere concern.

If this happens frequently you might want to consider an auto on generator.
