Thoughts on purchasing a vacation rental during quarantine

Riley Omanson
Posted

Anyone have experience with purchasing a vacation rental during a pandemic like this?

Any current experiment or previous experience with vacation rentals and having fluctuating times throughout the year of being rented out?

The housing market in Hawaii is in a downturn because of the quarantine and a lot of properties are being foreclosed on and drastic price decreases. Is it a smart time to purchase a vacation rental?

COVID will be over soon.  If the vacation rental market is robust in non-COVID times, it might be a great time for you to jump in.  But the income numbers have to work, as is always the case.
