Airbnb in San Antonio

Hello, I live in El Paso TX but travel to San Antonio yearly a couple of times because well, NBA basketball. How is the Airbnb market in SA? I overall truly enjoy San Antonio and would love to get a vacation home there that I could turn into Airbnb, we usually spend around $2000 every trip so that’s another reason. What zip codes do you recommend? I’ve done a little bit of research but I’m not completely familiar with all of San Antonio. Especially investor friendly areas.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The short term rental market is very strong in San Antonio. AirDNA gives this market an A+. We've had most success close to downtown and the Pearl, but there are really a ton of spots that do well. Just north of Lackland provides surprising value, and so does the area west of the airport. I have clients that really like to med center too. In some areas it's starting to find properties that meet the cities density requirements. There is a limit to how many short term rental permits will be issues on each block, and the most popular areas are starting to fill up. For the time being, there are still plenty of opportunities though.
