Hi all,

I’d be grateful to hear if your experience with any of these insurance carriers in Smoky Mountains? Were they reliable and honest when you had to file a claim?

Carrier and annual pricing below for similar policy limits and deductibles.

- Foremost ($2650)

- Tower Hill ($1100)

- Proper ($3900)

- Travelers ($2500)

- American Modern ($1350)

Thanks in advance for your input.

I have found with all of my renewals that Proper has been improper.  I would recommend that you call Consolidated Insurance in Knoxville or Bullard Agency in Morristown.  It is best to have a local agent that knows these types of properties - they can shop the best rates for you each year.  I have some business with both agencies and have always been delighted.  And when I had a cabin burn to the ground a few years ago, Consolidated was very helpful in getting me the policy limit literally within weeks.  You don't realize the value of a local agent, until your property is destroyed.  It makes a difference.
