Great to see some of the locals in Wilmington, NC won a lawsuit against the blatant overreach of the local city govt. Good news for STR investors in North Carolina!

Whether or not you support STR regulations, I think this is far from over. The City may still appeal. As we have seen across the country, short-term rental regulation is viable. Asheville has perhaps the most comprehensive rules in place, which have held up to challenges over time. It will be interesting to see what other suits are filed across the state as a result of this ruling. Again, I strongly believe this is far from over and it would not be prudent base investment decisions on this initial ruling. Those are just my .02 cents....
