Sarasota -Venice vacation rentals

I’m looking for information/insight. I’m interested in purchasing a vacation rental property in the Sarasota/Venice area. Is the short term rental market over saturated in this area? What are regulations and taxes? Is there one type of property that does better than others? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Start of with a search on vrbo and airbnb to see how many properties are in this area and see what rates they are getting.

Drop this in a spreadsheet and put in all your expenses. It will quickly tell you if it can be profitable.
