Fundrise Opportunity Fund Investment

Has anyone invested with Fundrise Opportunity Fund? If so, can you share your experience please. Originally, I had hoped to find/create an Opportunity Zone Fund in Sonoma but was not able to pull it off. Now I have less than a week to move my 2019 capital gains into an existing OZ fund. Looks like Fundrise has investments in Downtown San Jose, Outer Mission and Downtown Oakland. If you are familiar with what's going on in those neighborhoods, that would be helpful too.

    @Mandy Cohen

    A few notes of feedback:

    1) If you're looking to 1031, have you thought about investing in DST's? @Mark Creason can help with this option.

    2) If your gain is from 2019, the year is not over yet, so the gain is not realized. Confirm with your CPA on the timing for investing.

    3) In terms of investing in the crowdfunding platform, @Ian Ippolito is best suited to offer feedback on this space.

    4) In order to learn about the specific geo area, consider reverse-engineering and looking for local investors via BP, and then reaching out to them directly.

    My best!
