Cancellation policy on Airbnb?

Hey everyone! For those of you who operate Airbnb’s— I’m curious what your cancelation policy is?

My very first Airbnb went live a few weeks ago (in Milwaukee) and I chose the most “strict” cancelation policy because I really don’t want my calendar to fill with bookings only to have frequent cancellations right before guests are due to checkin. But curious to know what’s worked for others?

Thank you!

always set it to the most strict. Then stick to it. It doesn't matter what their excuse or Reason is.  You are not in business to let people book and then change your mind later. It is never your problem that people need to cancel. In reality, that is what trip insurance is for. There will be times in the future you will regret it if you are soft. Even then, over the Long Haul, you may be hit by Airbnb extenuating circumstances or by someone who does a chargeback.
