Airbnb: Super Strict Cancellation Policy

I was recently ‘invited’ by Airbnb to change my cancellation policy to ‘Super Strict 30 or 60 days’.

I was very excited when I got the alert. My rentals are in Kauai and when I have cancelations 2-4 weeks prior it’s rare they rebook since it’s a destination vacation and requires plane rides and planning.

Went to accept the offer and was told this ‘privilege’ costs 5% from every future reservation. I’ll push over 200k through Airbnb so this essentially will cost $10,000+ per year.

Another example of a stupid Airbnb policy.
