Airbnb searching algorithm question

Hello, Had a peculiar scenario told by my property management company .  My property - lakefront property in the poconos just recently went live with a property management firm .  Upon discussing some issues with the listing - i was told to not share the airbnb and vrbo links with other freinds and in social network sites .  The reason being that if folks keep clicking without booking - that eventually drives the listing to the bottom of the search results and that is equivalent of digging myself in a hole ... any pros out there who can ascertain the above ?  any help is appreciated ...

@Gururaj Iyer - It sounds like BS to me. But on the off-chance that it’s true, you can counteract any negative affects on search results by asking all of your friends to “heart” your listing on AirBnB. I know from speaking with several multi-unit AirBnB hosts that gaining “heart” votes improves your listing’s search results. Another tip: get Daniel Rusteen’s book, How to Optimize Your AirBnB. He worked at AirBnB for a few years and knows exactly how to create AirBNB listings that get a ton of clicks and a ton of bookings.

Good luck!
