New str not ready to rent yet

Hello fellow BP members. I will be putting my new STR on line to acquire some rentals for the 2018 summer season. The reason I am putting up so late is my renovation talk longer than I expected. I expect to have it online by May 15. The true rental for this property in this condition should be $2500 per week. I am thinking of putting it up like the airlines do. For example the first week taken would be charged 1500. The second week 1600 and so forth. I just need to get a rental base for the 2019 season. Does anyone have any experience with putting a short term rental up for rent at a very late day in the season? Thanks in advance!!

No season here either. I’ve put them up before I was even closed. Stole some pics off the internet and off we go. I wouldn’t do that if it’s your first time and it sounds like you’re past that point anyway.

I start them out very cheap with very specific wording that says they’re only getting it cheap because it’s new and you need great reviews. Never be afraid to ask or even pay for an awesome review.

Headline should say something like “NEW LISTING SPECIAL” so they know exactly why you don’t have any reviews yet.

Good luck!
