Winston-Salem, NC: What are the STR regulations?

Happy New Years!

I'm trying to find documentation on the city website now, but I also wanted to reach out and see if anyone knows what the regulations regarding STRs are in Winston-Salem, NC.

While we're on the discussion...

What are the best locations?
What size/type of rental works best?

Any other advice is appreciated!

Thank you.

My best,
Michael

My 2 cents worth.  Buy 2 or 3 bedroom houses, preferably next door or across the street or down the block from each other.  You can accommodate several small groups at one time, or a big group and a small group, or a really big group.

Renting out a 2 bedroom house is as easy as pouring water out of a boot with the instructions written on the bottom of the heel.

Renting out houses to a really big group is more difficult because you need to find enough people that can get along with each other in order to stay there.

I have a 3 story house with 4 bathrooms and 9 beds and it takes 3M talent to rent it out.  3M's are mechanic, magician and mindreader.

Start with smaller houses and then work up to bigger ones once you have the demand for bigger houses.  Develop your 3M talent.
