Need help picking short term rental software; STR calendars

I am buying my first short term rental property and first platform will be AirBnB. Many people are advising using multiple STR platforms to rent through (i.e. also use Homeaway, Flipkey, etc).

How are you managing your availability calendar on different platforms?

Seems like a pain and opportunity for double booking if I have to go to multiple OTAs and block dates when a booking occurs.  I have been looking at software like Xotelia or AirGMS.

Thanks for any guidance!

It is easy to sync your Homeaway calendar with Airbnb and vice versa.

There is a function in your calendar to export your calendar. You get that link and add it to the other platform.

As a side note my Homeaway account generates 95% of my rentals with Airbnb only bringing in about 3%. It depends on your area though. I also get higher rentals via Homeaway. I have to discount my properties on AirBnb just to pick up a few rentals.

If you are running a bead and breakfast or renting a room then Airbnb may be better for you.

Having multiple platforms will boost your revenues.
