San Diego STR - Good time to AirBNB??
What are you thoughts?? Is it a good time to jump into the short term / vacation rental market? I'm thinking about converting my rental to an AirBNB in the coming months. AirDNA data looks very promising and my neighborhood (North Park) is a highly sought after destination for vacationers.
Legislation could change at any point, but i'm thinking I can exit STR for a furnished monthly rental worst case scenario... For now its looking like I could double by income going this route, I would love to hear feedback on this topic!

I have a friend who has a home in North Park and uses it for short term rentals. I know he's highly concerned about the City of San Diego's stance on them because of some significant fines they've issued to a couple of owners. I think you could do well but should be well versed on what the city will allow and not allow and proceed accordingly.
