running a STR in SLC
I am looking to buy a property in SLC Utah that i would want to try and run as a STR to help offset the cost. But it looks like SLC is pretty strict/ does not allow them in residential neighborhoods? Im wondering how i see so many available for rent on Airbnb if they are so restrictive? Does airbnb require you have a permit to list in SLC or are people just winging it without permits?

I would be careful in a restrive area. Just because other people might be getting away with it for now doesn't mean they couldn't crack down on you after you buy a property their.
