Looking for help with Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) short term rental market
Hi everyone,
I currently live in DFW (Euless) and am looking to get a short term rental up and running close to home. I've been doing some analysis on AirDNA and it's saying the general area is a good investment for STR. Are there any STR focused realtors in the area? Anyone out there running a successful short term rental in the area? Would love to connect.
I'm currently eyeing at least a 3/2 with a pool/hot tub and area for a game room outside of an HOA.
Thank you!

Hey @Eric Andersen, so there are a lot of regs in the DFW area.
https://www.fortworthtexas.gov/short-term-rentals
Rentals are not allowed in residential districts: A-#, AR, B, R1, R2, CR, C, D, UR.
Dallas recently banned STRs in single family homes but there was an injunction that blocked it. That doesn't mean that they won't go back and re-write it to work.
So, get with the city (cities) and see where you can actually have a STR. The biggest issue I see is that they are looking to restrict STRs in the area so why would I buy there knowing it could all go away.
