Eco new construction

Was wondering if anyone has used a Binishell home as a STR? More to the point has anyone purchased land and found a contract to build a concrete dome home. If so what was your experience and would you do it again?

I have always been interested in home construction techniques that are different or older.

Container homes, these sorts of shot-crete homes, bale homes etc.

The biggest issue is not that fact that they will rent, for if they are in the right location, of course they will rent just fine. Maybe even bring more folks as they are interesting.

The issue, first, is getting them financed to build. Many lenders won't finance these sorts of construction due to the 2nd reason. They are harder to sell when it comes time.

These sorts of shot-crete build homes are more standard than a bale or mud home but are still not standard like a stick built home.

Geodesic domes are cool but harder to sell than a standard home. There was one here local to me that was on the market for over 2 years before it sold at a significant discount.
